We all have suffered at some point the tedious, but necessary task of packing and choosing the necessary travel equipment. When we begin to travel we need to have clothes and accessories that provide comfort, safety and help us to solve normal problems of travel (and others not so much). Surely it has happened to you that before starting that longed-for trip, you wonder and doubt about which equipment to carry, what to pack, what to take and what not.

This happens to all of us, I think even the most experienced travelers sometimes doubt the things they need to carry for each trip. The task sometimes becomes frustrating and can make us make mistakes, such as the most common: Load more and carry things you never occupy. When you travel constantly, you learn to dispense with some travel comforts and start carrying the only indispensable thing. Eventually, you will realize that the things you really need are very few, and you start traveling only with what is essential to you.

The reality is that there is a number of essential things; we must carry while leaving for an adventure travel, the type of trip you want to make and your destination. However, yes you can talk about a list of items that will be very useful in any trip and make your life easier, on the way to solve common problems with which you will face. For this reason, today I bring you a special article in which I will talk specifically about the kit we have while traveling, I will tell you what I always carry with me and have taken me out of trouble in more than one occasion.

Padlocks:

The use of locks to protect our belongings when traveling has become practically a necessity for all. I do not tell you that something is going to happen to you, I tell you to take what I can prevent from it. Something you learn throughout travel is that you are never too cautious. Security locks are extremely useful; I always carry two or three.

Raincoats:

A raincoat or poncho that completely covers you is super important. Bring it with you always, and it will save you in case of a storm surprises you. Protecting your suitcase or backpack from rain is just as important as protecting you. Your backpack keeps all your belongings, it’s like your house, so you have to protect it from getting wet and everything becomes unusable.

There are many backpacks in the current market, which already include by default a rain protector that wraps around your backpack and that does not allow any water to enter. If your backpack does not have it, I strongly recommend that you buy one to avoid problems.

Utility knife:

Tweezers, scissors, knife, and screwdriver. With this, you will survive any eventuality or you can easily repair any damage. It is very important that this equipment is stored in your luggage that you are going to document, remember that you cannot cross airports or terminals with this type of tools in your carry-on luggage.

It is light, so it will not make you practically anything of extra weight in your suitcase, besides it is made of a quite resistant material.

First aid kit:

It is important to always carry a medicine cabinet in which you keep medicines that can save you from such a common inconvenience, as being sick to your stomach. I do not leave home without this, it includes everything a little, things like gel for burn cream to avoid itching, believe me, you will need this.

Do not load with much medicine, it could be difficult to pass some customs, in most countries you will find anything you might need, and if you need something that you do not have in your medicine cabinet, it is probably better to go see a doctor. If you consume any controlled medicine that requires a prescription, I recommend that you carry it with you to avoid any migration problem.

Pillowcase:

It is likely that at some point, you have to sleep in a hotel/hostel that may not be the cleanest in the world. In this situation, you can simply put your pillowcase. During the trip, you will be moving between airports, stations and terminals, and many times you will have to wait there for a considerable time.
